Chocolate Orange Bunny

DK YARN
3.5mm knitting needles

 

Using Brown ~

Cast on 43sts

1st Row:  S1, *k1, p1, repeat from * to the last 2sts, k2

2nd Row:  S1, *p1, k1, repeat from * to end

Repeat last 2 rows three times more

9th Row:  S1, knit to end

10th Row: S1 purl to last st, K1

Repeat last 2 rows 7 more

25th Row: *K2tog, repeat from * to last st, K1

26th Row:  P2 tog, to end

Cut yarn, leaving a 'tail' to use for sewing up, draw the end through all stitches, pull up tightly

Sew up side seam

Ears (make 2)

Using Cream  ~

Cast on 9sts

Rib 12 rows

(S1, k2tog, psso), (s1, k2tog, psso), k3tog          (3sts)

S1, k2tog, psso

Fasten off

Cut the yarn leaving a short ‘tail’.

With a yarn needle, pull the yarn through all the remaining stitches and secure

Sew ears on to the top of the bunny

 
Tail

Using white eyelash / fluffy yarn cast on 3 stitches

Row 1:      Knit in the front and back of every stitch   (6sts)

Knit 5 rows

Row 7:      K2tog three times                                   (3sts)

Cast off

Fasten off, leaving a little ‘tail’

Thread the tail onto a sewing needle and weave in and out all around the outside and pull tight to gather up the tail

Sew tail onto the bunny

 
Face

Embroider on features using a length of dark coloured yarn for the eyes, and pink for the nose and mouth.

Fill with a Terry's Chocolate Orange for a cute little Easter gift :)
